Time to Greet Your Beautiful Feet
By Patricia Lee

Ok, so feet are not the most popular part of the body to look at. But just as your face, dress, and nails have to be perfect, so should your feet. People are prone to look you from head to toe while in your wedding dress, so you need to make sure everything looks good on you. You don't want them to suddenly go from commenting how beautiful you are to choking when they see your feet.

It is likely that you will be wearing strappy heels or shoes that are going to show a majority of your feet, so you want them to look and feel good. You might be able to hide them under your gown for a while, but they are bound to come out by the end of the evening. You want to be able to walk around and feel comfortable in anything that you are wearing.

If you feel particularly self-conscious about your feet, you should start a foot care treatment at least three months in advance of the wedding. You can follow simple guidelines at home that will eventually lead up to you having perfect feet. Here are a few tips to follow:

  • use a file or pumice to scrape away rough areas
  • after removing the rough areas, soak the feet in warm water for a half-hour
  • use lotion or moisturizer to apply to the feet just before bed
  • wear socks over your feet to help the healing process
  • use a body or foot scrub on your feet when you shower
  • keep your toes manicured and polished
  • wear your wedding shoes around the house to et use to them
Maintaining a regular pedicure routine will help your feet to feel and look better. It you take care of your feet every night, you will not only feel more relaxed after a hard day of working, but you will also not feel so ashamed to show them off to people.
