 non-church wedding locations

My fiance and I are both from out of state and have been married before. We want to have a small, simple, but quaint wedding ceremony. The problem is that we do not want to have it in a church and we aren't familiar with any "special" places that we could have it. We would also like to have our immediate family and close friends join us somewhere for a celebration dinner afterwards.
Do you have an ideas?

Grand Occasions specializes in planning small, quaint ceremonies and receptions in New Orleans. Some of the choices we give brides for cermony spots are: Bandstand in Audubon Park, a historic hotel courtyard, a garden district mansion, or just outdoors among the oaks in city park. There is usually a nominal fee for the ceremony location. A little tulle and some fresh flowers can make anyplace beautiful for a ceremony. If you have a few guests you'd like to cerebrate with after, I recommend going to a restaurant that has private rooms and having your celebration there.

Another location for a small, simple and quaint wedding is a bed and breakfast. Depending upon the owners you may be able to rent the grounds for the evening or you may be reqired to rent all of the rooms. You can begin looking for locations on the internet.

I too need help finding a non church wedding location. I would like to find one around the boston/lexington MA area. Any suggestions. I am desperate. I already have a reception site, however, my fiance doesn't want to get married on site. Help!!!!!
