Why use Discussion Forums?

Discussion Forums allow users to share ideas with each other in discussions on certain topics. As opposed to "chat", where communications are dynamic, visible only at the time the message was posted to the participating users, and disappear after a few moments.

Forum posts remain visible for users to check back at a later time, along with having the capability for users to search and browse specific topics, as well as receive email notifications if anyone replies to the posting.

Navigation & Terms used in the forums
All topics have the topic, author, number of replies, and latest-reply-date:

The example is one forum called "Wedding Attire" with 5 topics listed:

New messages you have not read are indicated by new next to the topic.

You may "View Threads", which will show each topic as threads:

*For your privacy, your identity email is not necessary to post, although if you want to be notified when there is a reply, you should include your email.

 

Rules and Usage Policy
WX forums are for our users to post messages related to their wedding planning. Please keep in mind that commercial or advertising content is strictly prohibited. We constantly monitor all forums. Duplicate messages, messages unrelated to the topic of discussion, spams or vendors advertising their services is strictly prohibited.

Any vendors posting commercial or advertising content will have their listings and other free vendor services on our site removed.

Messages posted in any of the forums are views and opinions of the individuals and not do not represent those of WeddingeXpress.com.
 
How to Use the WeddingeXpress Discussion Forums
Only 2 steps to get you posting messages:

1. Please agree to our rules and usage policy above.

2. Select a forum & start posting!

 

  • forums - a listing of discussions about a common subject. The "Wedding Attire" forum, for example, has topics such as "Gown Sizes " and "Bridesmaids Dresses" If you need additional forums, post them here and we can look into requests.
  • topics - discussions that take place in a forum. Most topics are created by users. To start your own topic, click on "New Topic" in the navigation bar at the top or bottom of the page, in the forum most appropriate for your topic.
  • post - an individual message or the act of submitting a message. On WeddingeXpress Forums, links labeled "New Topic" and "Reply" leads to posting a message.
    Click "Reply To This Message" to respond to a specific message.
  • spam - messages that are posted repeatedly or are unrelated to the topic of discussion. These messages sometimes solicit services or contain commercial or advertising content. Spam is strictly prohibited. Posting spam may result in the termination of your WeddingeXpress account and/or valuable vendor member services.

Navigation Terms
  • Forum List: lists all the current forums available.
  • Go to top: takes you to the top of the page.
  • New Topic: allows you to post a new topic in the forum that you are currently in.
  • View Threads: shows all the replies within a topic.
  • Search: allows you to search all the available forums.
  • Mark All Read: no messages are flagged as new

Abuse of these forums is strictly prohibited.
